TASB is kicking April off to a great start by teaming up with Autism Speaks as the world is lighting it up Blue and creating awareness for the Autism spectrum!
TASB went live Wednesday, April 1, 2015, on WRNW1100. On air was Elaine Lord, founder of The Association of Stylists and Barbers, Kim Wigington, Brookwood Christian School Founder, and Freda Stukes, National Radio personality and host of Coming Direct with Freda on Women’s Radio Network. We joined forces and educated the masses via the airwaves. Topics included TASB and Autism awareness, in addition to sharing resources nationally so families in need can get help.
In the city of Atlanta, we’ve seen many unique ways to “Light it up Blue.” Sky View Atlanta turns blue for World Autism Awareness Day (above), and Atlanta Uppercuts of Acworth, Ga. has their puzzle piece lit up!
Through out the month of April TASB wants to see your Hair Styling Blues. Show off your hairstyling Blues here on our fan page throughout April. We will publish the best photos in our next issue of Recognition with Style magazine. We will give prizes away to lucky winners with the coolest Blues Looks during our TASB Awards Celebration this Fall. Let’s get pumped up during this year’s Hair Raising Events! Go TASB!!!
It’s great news for Georgia, and it could not have taken place on a better day, April 2nd— Autism Awareness Day! This great state is now the 41st state to have insurance for Autism. Kuddos to all advocates who have worked so hard for the past 7 years to get Ava’s Law passed, woohoo!! Sandi Marcus, grandmother of children with autism has kept TASB in the loop.
