We held our first annual TASB Cut-A-Thon for autism in 2011 with a total of 6 salons and 1 barbershop. Since then hundreds have joined our movement, in several states as well. We’ve learned that so many clients don’t want to miss out on our festivities that  we’ve extended the time period from what use to be 24 hours to now a 6 week booking period. Whether it’s a customer appreciation event by giving one or several haircuts to autism, or only showcasing our amazing autism raffle display, we hope you can join us this year and represent your community!

VOLUNTEER

Join our annual TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism.

Dedicated stylists/barbers from across the states volunteer their professional time and talent to raise funds for autism-related causes-and in doing so bring awareness to this condition. Our kick-off is held the weekend before Labor Day,  August 27,  (Opening Celebrations). We will continue our festivities throughout October 2, (Closing Celebrations). All of your clients can give their support during this 6week booking period.

Help your Client!

Choose a honorary client/family that you personally know in need and they receive 50% of the funds that you raise from your autism raffle display/festivities. Your unique display is entered in a competition with volunteers from across the state and judges, (a panel of autistic children) will choose 3 favorites. Prize winning awards will go to your honorary client. To date TASB Volunteers have raised approximately $92,000. Join our movement that will give you and your salon/barbershop Recognition with Style!

Keep it simple!

You can help a client you know on the autism spectrum or in need! TASB will supply you free, lottery tickets ($40) and autism items. Raise awareness for your honorary client by creating an autism raffle display. We encourage you to display you’re raffle items in an area where all your clients will notice your festivities. Ask your clients to support your honorary client and let them know they have a chance to win ALL lottery tickets ($40) with their donation. Most volunteers use our display of $2 for 1 ticket or $5 for 3 tickets. You will be surprised at how giving your clients are. Oct. 3rd is the drawing for the winner. This is a six week booking period so all your clients have a chance to support your cause. Your honorary client will receive 50% of your proceeds. The remaining 50% will go to autism organizations and TASB.

Blades Salon Haubstadt, Indiana created a spectacular

autism awareness display on a mirror for their clients to support the cause.

Jazz it Up!

Create a customer appreciation party! TASB can help you with silent auction items,  gift baskets with products. Choose to give styling services, gift cards from neighboring businesses as raffle items too. Serve snacks! Many volunteers give one or several haircuts to the cause. Donate all or half of your proceeds from your hair cuts to autism. We have Volunteers who like to collect just their tips and contribute these funds to the cause. Stylists/Barbers who need to build their clientele will offer their time and talent by giving 1/2 off or discounted prices to clients and give 100% of the funds raised to the cut-a-thon. These are just a few great ideas that TASB Volunteers do. You can choose your special date and what works for you during our TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism!

Samantha Dault , owner of Pig Tails Salon, Ft. Meyers Florida,

invited several colleagues from different locations to join her TASB Cut-A-Thon event.

Silent auction, food, games and fun was created for autism awareness festivities.

Excitement is in the HAIR!

Letty Balderas Salon owner of Salon 84, LaBelle Fl. teamed up with their VFW, and several neighboring stylists & barbers. Together they raised $600. A $300 gift card went to their honorary client. Check out their festivities, click video.
