Any stylist or barber who has given haircuts to children or adults with autism know what a challenge it can be. Many may avoid people with autism and that creates a challenge for parents and loved ones when it comes time for a needed haircut or style.
Autism Speaks has teamed up with some caring folks in New England and created “The Hair Cutting Training Guide” TASB volunteers to inform you with techniques and hints on how to make a possible difficult situation go much smoother.
There are many organizations out there that raise awareness about autism and stylist and barbers can take part in this by joining forces with TASB (The Association of Stylists and Barbers).
