Excitement is in the HAIR!
Our annual TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism is held the weekend before Labor Day for a 6 week booking period. Dedicated stylists/barbers volunteer their professional time and talent to raise funds for autism-related causes-and in doing so bring awareness to this condition. Our kick-off is August 28, (Opening Celebrations). We will continue our festivities throughout October 9, (Closing Celebrations) for all your clients to be included in giving their support.
Help your client!
Each year TASB Volunteers will receive 50% of the funds that you raise from your salon/barbershop. You will choose a honorary client/family that you personally know in need. You create your own unique TASB Cut-A-Thon celebration in your community. TASB will provide you with Autism items that all TASB Volunteers from across the states will receive complimentary and display to create autism awareness. Your display is entered in a competition and judges, (a panel of autistic children) will choose 3 favorites. Prize awards will go to your honorary client as well. 50% of the funds will also be distributed to various autism organizations and to keep TASB thriving.
To date TASB Volunteers have raised approximately $92,000.

Keep it simple!
We encourage you to display you’re raffle items in an area where all your clients will notice your festivities. You will be surprised at how giving your clients are. Many will support the cause. They love helping out their stylist/barber. Clients just need to be aware of the cause and that is where you and your team players come in. Let them know about our TASB Cut-a-Thon for autism and how everyone is now a TASB volunteer. Watch and see what happens, what do you have to loose!!
Blades Salon Haubstadt, Indiana created a spectacular
autism awareness display on a mirror for their clients to support the cause.
Jazz it Up!
Create a customer appreciation party! TASB can help you with silent auction items, gift baskets with products. Choose to give styling services, gift cards from neighboring businesses as raffle items too. Serve snacks! Many volunteers give one or several haircuts to the cause. Donate all or half of your proceeds from your hair cuts to autism. We have Volunteers who like to collect just their tips and contribute these funds to the cause. Stylists/Barbers who need to build their clientele will offer their time and talent by giving 1/2 off or discounted prices to clients and give 100% of the funds raised to the cut-a-thon. These are just a few great ideas that TASB Volunteers do. You can choose your special date and what works for you during our TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism!
